PROJECT: visual identity, graphic design
CLIENT: Joy Daniels' energy and talents are extensive. She's a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, backup singer for Stevie Wonder, and newly-minted record label owner. The label, titled OSAATI and inspired by the saying One Step (or Song) At A Time, pulls together vintage Motown and funk sounds with modern R&B and soul music. To complement this eclectic repertoire, I wanted her logo to be strong, bold, and vibrant with an aesthetic that marries old and new.
